The Lakehouse Inn: A Classic Geneva-on-the-Lake Inn

Our incredible onsite restaurant, Crosswinds Grille, serves up delicious dishes every day, specializing in wood-fired farm-to-table cuisine. History of The Lakehouse Inn
The Lakehouse Inn is certainly a family affair! Husband-and-wife duo Sam and Karen were originally looking to buy a house on Lake Erie, but the search proved futile; every offer they put in got rejected! After switching gears and telling their realtor to focus on duplexes—for their children, who would be returning home after college—they received news that the Otto Court at Geneva-on-the-Lake was up for sale.
In that moment, they had an idea—they could buy the property and turn it into a revenue-generating inn for the same price as many of the private lakeside homes on the market. After a quick call to their children, during which their daughter Andrea agreed to help run the property, it was decided: the family would start their own inn!
Accommodations at The Lakehouse Inn
There’s a wide variety of accommodations available at The Lakehouse Inn. You can stay in a Premier Suite, Inn Suite, Traditional Inn Room, or Cottage while you’re here.
Premier Suites offer the finest in luxury and comfort. They provide an elegant, elevated stay here at The Lakehouse Inn. Take in a gorgeous sunset from your window, designed for uninterrupted lake views!
Inn Suites provide cozy ambiance with modern amenities, for a perfect comfortable stay. They have everything you could ask for on vacation, including a private bath and soaking tub! You have the option for a King or Queen Suite.
Stay in one of our Traditional Inn Rooms for a more, well, traditional feel. Each one tells its own story of the inn’s history, allowing you to meet fellow guests in a comfortable atmosphere. Though they’re more traditional, they do of course still have all the modern comforts of home! Again, choose from a King or Queen room.
Our cottages are ideal for couples or groups! Enjoy privacy and space in a comfortable living area complete with a kitchenette. This is the perfect stay if you want to stay longer than just a few days or the weekend.
